For this month’s Employee of the Month spotlight, we’re proud to recognize a member of the Fenoglio team who values one thing above all else about coming to work each day—the people. That appreciation for the team is matched by a real passion for the craft of bootmaking, especially stitching and creating the top patterns that give each pair of Fenoglio boots its distinctive, classy finish.

When it comes to Fenoglio boots, the Chico Black Roughouts are the favorite. And when there’s work to be done, the advice is simple: “Show up on time and do your best.” It’s an approach that reflects the dedication and craftsmanship we value here at Fenoglio.

Outside of work, family is a big part of life, with plenty of time spent caring for and enjoying the grandkids—Becky, Willie, Chris, Rileigh, and Kayson—and excitement is already building for the arrival of the first great-grandbaby, Everett Tate.

Of course, no spotlight would be complete without a little humor. Favorite sayings around the shop include Al Ramsey’s, “On a horse going 50 mph, it will look awesome,” and David Hellinger’s, “They have problems at the cornflake factory.” Both fit perfectly with a personal motto that keeps things in perspective no matter what the day brings:

“It’s better to laugh about it than cry.”
